It seems like the Burj Dubai will be dethroned from the “world’s tallest tower” position as (also) in Dubai will be built a one kilometer skyscraper. The tower was designed by Woods Bagot architects and it will be built by Nakheel, the same developer which has built those fancy state-of-the-art man-made islands in Dubai. The skyscraper will be called Nakheel Tower and as a bonus, there will also be built world’s first inner city harbor.

Hidden treasures buried in distinct islands are not just imagination; they really exist and every year thousands of people from all over the world try their luck and seek old sunken ships, pirate caches or caves and grottos with jewelry, old coins, gold bullions and other antiques. Do you want to join the army of treasury hunters and make your vacation truly unforgettable?

The world is a beautiful place in more ways than one. Amongst the urban landscape and thousands of ordinary brick-and-mortar buildings, skyscrapers are architectural and engineering marvels that rise hundreds of meters and even a thousand feet into the air. The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), is the official body that determines which buildings fall under the ‘The World’s Tallest Building’ category. It ranks the height of buildings, based on the height to the architectural top of the building, highest occupied floor, top of the roof or the tip of the building.

Meaning ‘suspended in air’ the name Meteora includes the entire rock community of 24 monasteries. There were no steps and the main access to the monasteries was by means of a net that was hitched over a hook and hoisted up by rope and a hand cranked windlass to winch towers overhanging the chasm. Monks descended in the nets or on retractable wooden ladders up to 40m long to the fertile valleys below to grow grapes, corn and potatoes.

The designs, made from the same square metal tubing used in ordinary bike racks, attempt to encapsulate and define various New York neighborhoods: a dollar sign sits on the walkway outside Wall Street; an electric guitar decorates the path in Williamsburg and in Brooklyn, a car near the entrance of the Lincoln Tunnel.
